THE MAKER:

ALICE lives in and works out of a studio here in Asheville, NC. She began crafting jewelry as a kid and leveled up after attending the Rhode Island School of Design for Jewelry and Metalsmithing! Her work embodies the personal and intimate relationships expressed in Victorian jewelry, borrowing symbols from a variety of spiritual and cultural practices. Each piece is meant to help its wearer feel connected to something mysterious, ancient, and bigger than themselves.

Alice beautifully sketches each idea and carves the wax to create molds, having outside help in metal casting in order to focus on designing. Most of her work is with oxidized Sterling Silver, but she also incorporates some bronze, brass, and gold vermeil. We have carried and adored her work at Elementality since 2010.
