Randy Boyd is a Navajo metalsmith who was born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1974. He began his professional career at age 16 working for other well known native artists. He had the honor to work under legendary Navajo artist, Ray Tracey, during Tracey's biggest sales boom in the nineties. This is where Randy was able to truly hone his silversmithing skills due to the incredible amount of work he was responsible for producing for the popular designer. In his spare time, Randy raises cattle and practices roping in his backyard. Randy has an unparalleled attention to detail and flair for traditional designs; he only uses the highest quality stones in his work. His Hallmark is a spur with an R and a B.
